Date:30th September 2007    Location:Sompting

An outstanding performance against a physical Sompting side, gave YM the three points they deserved.

YM where the team that wanted to get the ball down and play football, and that paid off in the second half.

YM did get lucky at times, Sompting hitting the bar twice throughout the game, but we haven't had any luck this season, so we were due some!

Going into the 2nd half all square at 0-0, YM finally got the breakthrough.

Jack Petersen Netting his 4th goal of the season from the edge of the box, after a defensive slip up.

Minutes later and YM sealed the points. Stuart Barber scored his 5th goal of the season from the edge of the penalty area, with 15 minutes to go.

YM now look forward to this sunday's long away fixture against Hayling United, which is now their 5th away on the trot. They haven't played at home this season!

Alex Barron: " The boys did the club proud today. There was a lot of bad tackles flying in, winding up, bad language from their side, but we ignored it all, and it paid off, as we just concentrated on football. We look forward to Sunday!"
