LADY Luck was smiling down on Horsham YMCA on Tuesday night as they claimed a second point of the week at Dulwich Hamlet.
YM were on the back foot for most of the first-half but against the run of play took the lead just before half-time when Tony Reid powered in a header.
The pattern of play continued after the break,and Dulwich soon restored parity through Nyren Clunis, but try as they might they couldn’t fmd a winner and YM had the woodwork to thank for a second time two minutes from time as i they hung on for a draw From the word go the hosts enjoyed most of the possession and looked to come forward, and after a few sighters Dulwich were denied when Rob Gradwell lashed in a shot which seemed to strike both posts and the bar before pinballing clear.
In a rare YM attack left Winger Daryl Plummer was upended and the resulting free kick sew Kevin Lott’s stinging effort tipped over by keeper James Dunn, Scott Harris though sent in the corner for Reid to rise highest and bullet in a header.
Dulwich were level on 54 minutes when Clunis confidently finished past Mark Fox and but for some all-action defending from skipper Glen Woodburn and Reid, and the crossbar which denied Gradwell’s thunderous shot, they would have found a winner
