CHRIS White declared himself satisfied with a point despite conceding a late, late leveller to Burgess Hill on Tuesday night.

Horsham YMCA led through Matt Geard's second half thunderbolt, but in the sub zero conditions, Danny Curd scram¬bled home an injury time goal to equalise for the ten men.

White said: "I felt it was the right result, but having got in front it was disappointing that we could not hold out. There was a stage where we should have gone two or three up."

Steve Harper, who was later shown a straight red for a late tackle on Tom Lawley, and John Lansdale went close in the first half as the Hillians looked the better side. Tony Di-Bernardo pulled off good saves to deny Will Berry and Lloyd Cotton, while Shaheen Sadough - one of seven former Hill players in the YM lineup, squandered their best chance.

Matt Geard was largely anony-mous for YM but like Harper he has the ability to conjure up a piece of magic from nowhere striking an unstoppable 30-yard half volley to break the deadlock after 54 minutes.

After that, Hill displayed more urgency, and Harper took this too far with his challenge on Lawley, although the decision was a little harsh.

Curd and Cotton went close for the visitors, while Gedling and Sadough went close at the other end before Curd bundled home at the death YMCA: Di Bernardo, Watts, Brake, Gedling, Cooke, Metcalf, Lawley, Geard (Flack 75), Geddes (Pulling 64), Manton, Sadough
