HORSHAM YMCA'S new signings of John Westcott and Nigel Brake are making a big impression on manager Chris White. YM have enjoyed a good pre-season, holding Mitcham & Tooting to a 1-1 draw and beating Bognor Regis Town 3-0 in their two last games. Former Horsham players Westcott and Brake have impressed for the Gorings Mead side, ahead of their return to the Ryman League Division 1 South. "Nigel and John are doing well," White said. "They are exactly what I expected, they have been outstanding, in the way they prepare themselves and the way they are in the game." Fans hoping to see the pair line up against former club Horsham in the final pre-season game at Gorings Mead tomorrow will be disappointed however - Westcott is attending a wedding, and Brake has work commitments. Meanwhile, White is also in discussions with former Leatherhead and Met Police midfielder Steve Sargent as he looks to finalise his squad. |
