GOALKEEPER Tony Di Bernardo made TWO penalty saves as Horsham YMCA earned a hard fought point at Croydon Athletic on Saturday. The stopper, signed from Worthing last last week in a deal which saw defender Matt Simpson go the other way, saved a spot kick in each half in the 0-0 draw. Manager Chris White said: "It was the best debut I can ever remember seeing." YM, who went close to scoring themselves through Tom Lawley and Shaheen Sadough, also re-signed Matt Geard from County League big spenders Whitehawk. White said: "I know there is a discipline thing which surrounds Matt, but he will make us a better side." |
