NATHAN Watts capped an excellent display with a brace as Horsham YMCA bounced back to winning ways in a 3-0 win at home to Lingfield on Tuesday.
After Saturday's disap-pointing home defeat to Eastbourne, a makeshift YM without eight first team regulars took the points.
Manager Chris White hailed Watts' performance as the difference.
"Nathan was the best player on the park," he said.
"His all round game, his energy and his two goals made it an all action per-formance from him."
Lingfield were on top for the first 20 minutes, but from then on YM took charge.
Wayne Joseph went close before Shaheen Sadough missed Watts' cutback, but he made up for it on 54 minutes when he raced to the by-line and pulled back to Watts to take a touch to get the ball out of his feet before finding the corner.
Rand then made a superb double save as Lingfield looked to utilise their pace upfront, before Timms sealed the points with a header from a corner.
When Sadough was hauled down 25 yards from goal Watts smashed the free kick into the top corŽner to add the icing on the cake, but it wasn't all good news for YM as Watts then had to leave the field with damaged ligaments to leave White with further injury headaches.
"With all the injuries we had I was very pleased with the result and perforŽmance against a very good side," White remarked.
