Crawley arrangement ensures YM are not left depleted
A CONTINGENCY plan has been hatched by Horsham YMCA in case their squad gets hit with injuries.
Manager John Suter has agreed with Crawley Town to sign some of their players, on dual forms.
The Conference side's caretaker boss, John Yems, used to be Suter's coach at YM and managed Horsham so the friends have agreed to help each out if it is necessary.
Should the situation arise where YM are depleted, the Gorings Mead outfit can give valuable Ryman League experience to some of Crawley's youngsters that are not getting a game.
Suter commented: "We have agreed to dual sign some players.
"It will be good for them and good for us.
"I have got a small squad due to no money and we could have two games a week or three weather not permitting by the end of the season.
"They strengthened up in the transfer window and got some youngsters.
"He [Yems] would allow them to be dual signed with us."
The YM boss stated: "I hasten to add that I will not be over looking people with first team potential, either on the fringes or in the reserves, here.
"It's there as a bit of a back up and a comfortable thought.
"It wouldn't involve loans or money because they will be dual signed," explained the Gorings Mead supremo.
"You don't know what's ahead of you - it is a nice little insurance policy."
Suter commented: "We are not becoming a nursery club for Crawley, it's an arrangement between two friends -me and Yemsy [Yems] - and two clubs."
