In the end, the scoreline flattered the visitors who showed little commitment in front of goal until the final ten minutes when they threw four up front.

Casuals play in the same league as YM's neighbours Horsham but were pretty much outplayed for most of the game.

Home manager John Suter, who clearly relishes a run in the FA Cup, could only bemoan the final scoreline.

"It's a terrific competition and we've got another game down here in a fortnight against Croydon and we're looking forward to it.

"It should have been 6-0 before they threw three or four up front - we had some excellent chances. But we didn't have Chris Trevor and Nick Flint, Matt Duffield played up front and we've created a lot of goal-scoring chances.

"They (Casuals) were a little bit pedestrian - you feel that Horsham will absolutely destroy them with Jamie Taylor and Dominik Hudak up front."

YM's back four looked solid until faced with a row of strikers in the final 15 minutes.

"Glen Woodburn thoroughly deserved man of the match, but he was part of the back four who did well throughout," added Suter.

Casuals managed just one shot on goal in the first half and it was ten minutes before the break when they forced their first corner.

However, YM were one up after 24 minutes when Gary Bidwell supplied the pass for James Grant to slot into the far right of the goal.

With Ali Russell winning everything in the air up front, he supplied two great flick-ons for Duffield, but the makeshift striker failed to capitalise.

Casuals' best efforts came from defender Andy Gibbons who shot wide with just the keeper to beat and then fired against the keeper late on.

Straight after the break, it was all YM. They extended their lead after 49 minutes following another Russell header to Grant who beat the last defender and shot home from close range.

Grant missed his hat-trick in a series of YM attacks when his shot was saved and another effort went wide. Bidwell nearly added the third when he hit the bar.

The best chance, however, fell to Russell when he broke through and, with just the keeper to beat, managed to fire the ball at the Casuals man.

Once the visitors threw more men up front there were a couple of scrambles in the penalty area, but the closest they got was at the death when Jamie Keith hit the post.
