Title beckons for YM
IT MIGHT be the biggest game in YM's history, yet John Suter is treating tomor¬row's visit to Arundel as just another game.
The Gorings Mead men have been top of the pile all season and will be crowned champions for the first time in their 107-year history if they beat Arundel.
Nerves in the YM camp? Hardly.
"No, I'm not nervous," said Suter. "I would be if it was the last game of the season, but it's away at Arundel, it's just a normal game. I'm looking for¬ward to it."
The YM boss may not be renowned for being the king of cool -just listen to him rant when Nick Flint strays offside - but he has always taken the cautious approach.
Whitehawk manager lan Chapman conceded the title to YM as early as January and the YM players themselves sang 'champions' at the final whistle after an enthralling 3-2 win over East Preston in February. But Suter remained calm.
"It will have all the atmos¬phere of a cup final but I'm not going to get excited about it. You just have to get on with it. We have to win one game, but there is no guarantee of that. I have been trying to tell everyone that it's just another three points," he added.
YM have no injury con¬cerns ahead of tomorrow's game, with Matt Duffield and Wayne Potter pushing for starts after returning from injury and holiday respectively
