YM'S finishing made life difficult for themselves as they beat ten-man Redhill 1-0.
They created chance after chance but could not kill off Redhill after a tough opening by their lively hosts.
A Joel O'Hara strike in the 70th minute was enough in the end but manager John Suter would have preferred breathing space.
"Everybody wants to be the one who beats us now seeing we are still unbeaten and top of the league," said Suter.
"I could have done with a second goal to make it safe. They started with pace and were more urgent than us but we controlled the second half."
The hosts had a vociferous appeal for a penalty turned down when Nick Levett tackled Glen Barlow but the Redhill man was booked for diving when Suter would not have been surprised had the referee pointed to the spot.
Matt Duffield took a clever free-kick to put in Levett and he cut inside but wasted the chance as he fired wide when he should have squared it.
A Levett set piece then found Dean Carden but he shot straight at the keeper. Levett himself had another opportunity when through but did not look for a team mate and again missed the target.
Redhill were reduced to ten-men when their captain Justin Jones was sent for an early bath for a high tackle on Steve Davies who had to go off injured.
On the stroke of half-time YM were given a warning that ten-men can be dangerous when Barlow got clear but Ian Chatfield made the save.
"I said at half-time that when someone gets sent off you can guarantee that ten out of the 21 players left will work hard. But we put them under pressure and they had to defend desperately," explained Suter.
Duffield latched on to an under hit back pass shortly after the interval and hooked the ball over the goalkeeper only to see a defender get back and scramble the ball clear.
Clinton Moore and O'Hara contrived to miss a chance when it was easier to score from a Duffield cross that beat everyone.
Duffield was the next YM man guilty of a missed chance when he produced a tame diving header from Carden's centre.
The breakthrough eventually came. Liam Ahearne picked out Tom Carter and he played it to O'Hara who cut inside and thrashed the ball into the top corner.
O'Hara was unlucky not to get his second when he hit the post from an Ally Russell header back after Duffield crossed the ball.
Chances continued to flow as Moore hit a free-kick that was well saved and the striker then went through one-on-one, rounded the keeper but his shot was cleared off the line.
O'Hara failed to convert when clear of the defence as he missed the target but one goal was enough to keep YM 11 points clear at the top.
