CLINTON MOORE enjoyed a dream full debut as YM put a magnificent seven past Pease Pottage in he second round of the John O'Hara Cup.
The former Crawley, Horsham and Three Bridges striker bagged in impressive hat-trick in less than an hour during one-way traffic at Gorings Mead which went accord-ing to the form book.
Moore scored the first of his tre-ble after just 20 seconds when he stabbed home from close range.
He then scored his and YM's second in the 22nd minute, pouncing on a rebound after his initial shot had been saved.
His third, which made the score 4-0, came from the penalty spot in the 58th minute after substitute James Grant had been fouled.
"It was a good debut," said YM manager John Suter, who, as a former striker himself, would have been impressed with Moore's showing.
Grant, who is yet to adjust his radar to Moore's accuracy this season, notched YM's third, tapping in rebound following Eric Barren's save.
Pease Pottage, who play in County League Division 2, pulled a goal back on the hour when Marc Allen - the visitors' best player -caught Ben Courtney napping and beat him with a shot from 35 yards.
But YM extended their lead in the 70th minute through Moore's strike-partner Steve Davies who collected Tom Carter's long ball before rolling it past the hapless Barrett.
Nick Flint made it 6-1 with a penaly seven minutes later and the scoring was complete five minutes from time when substitute Matt Dufield raced clear and lobbed the exposed Pease Pottage keeper.
“When you look at a 7-1 score you should be happy. I don't it to sound pompous by saying , but we did not play that well," said Suter.
