JOHN Suter's right hand man, All Rennie, has moved on to Three Bridges after a very successful year as assistant manager at YM.

Rennie left Horsham in January 2004 to join their neighbours at Gorings Mead and it was confirmed on Tuesday that he has left the County League Division 1 champions to be coach at Three Bridges.

Suter and Rennie delivered YM's first championship in 106 years in their only full season together. "It was a very successful partnership," said Suter. "It worked, it was not all smooth but it was successful."

Suter explained Rennie's move to YM's local rivals.

"He was approached by Brian Donnelly at Three Bridges and decided to go there. I will be actively looking for someone else now. I would imagine that Ali [Rennie] would run the Sussex side with me next year because that was successful too," he added.

The news came shortly after YM had their end of season party celebrating their fantastic achievements. James Grant scooped the big award, the players' player of the year.

"James Grant was a good acquisition. He is an all action player, box to box, defends, attacks and scores goals. He creates so many chances for himself, he missed a few and still scored 13 from midfield," commented Suter.

The YM boss also acknowledged Ali Russell's contribution. "People like Ali [Russell] can have the right to be disappointed. He can be awesome, like he was at East Preston. There were ten players that received votes, that shows what a good season we have had," added the YM boss.

Former Hornets stopper lan Chatfield picked up the manager's player of the season. "He was consistent, played the role of goalkeeper and improved others in front of him," said Suter.

Steve Davies was the top scorer for the first team with Chris Plumridge netting the most for the reserves.

Joe Williams, just 16, claimed the reserves player's player as well as the best young player award, having scored 11 goals from centre-half. "I am really hopeful he will be one for the future. He scored some stunning goals from the back," he added.

Dean Potter won the reserve manager's player of the season award.
