Plum job for James.
YM KEEPER James Plumley got his hands on an international call-up after being selected for England Colleges to face the Italians at Telford on Wednesday.
The 17 year old was delighted with his achievement. "I couldn't believe it, I couldn't speak," remarked a near speechless Plumley. "I got told on Monday night and then received a letter on Tuesday, I still can't believe it," he added.
The YM stopper hopes to make a big impression. "I've been told I will get a half and if I impress I might get to go to a big tournament in Italy that is coming up. I will keep my head down and hopefully put in a good performance," he said.
The youngster kept goal impressively for the Gorings Mead club last season and, despite losing his place to Ian Chatfield, has warmed the bench for Conference side Crawley recently.
