TUESDAY night's shortcomings were a stark contrast to Saturday's 5-1 drubbing of Division 2 strugglers Peacehaven in the first round of the John O'Hara Cup.

On a windy afternoon, Joel O'Hara headed YM into a 14th minute lead which Gil Taylor doubled two minutes later when he finished with panache from Nathan Sleat's cross.

Package Price headed a third before Taylor gave the visitors a 4-0 lead three minutes before the break from Matt Duffield's right wing cross.

O'Hara's deflected shot made it five in the 55th minute before Hamilton netted a consolation for the hosts.

"You would have expected us to beat them." admitted Suter.
