Code of Conduct

Disciplinary Process

 

1.                  Horsham YMCA Youth Football Club disciplinary process shall be in line with that within the present Football Club’s Domestic Policy Rules at any given time.  All players are subject to the code of conduct and laws of behaviour exacted by the Football Association.

 

2.                  OFFENCES

a)      Violent Conduct

In cases of violent conduct, a Club sub-committee consisting of the Youth Club chairman, team manager and one witness (player or otherwise) to the incident in question will review whatever additional action should be taken by the Club.

b)      Other Offences

Offences such as foul and abusive language, dissent and ungentlemanly conduct will be dealt with by a sub-committee consisting of a committee member, the team manager and one witness (player or otherwise) to the incident in question and will review whatever additional action should be taken by the Club.

 

 

OFFENCES COMMITTED UNDER 2(a) WILL BE CONSIDERED WITHIN FOURTEEN (14) DAYS OF THE OCCURRENCE.

 

3.                  RIGHT OF APPEAL

Any member has the right to formally appeal to the committee against a decision directed against them.  Any appeal must be made within seven days of notification of the committee’s decision.

 

4.                  PENALTIES

The following penalties may result:

Under 14:               Suspension only

Under 16:               Suspension and / or financial penalty

Under 18:               Financial penalty in excess of FA punishment

Each case will be considered on its merit – see (2) above.

 

The committee reserves the right to withdraw privileges or terminate the membership of any individual considered to have been acting detrimentally to the Club’s interests.

 

5.                  RECORDING

All disciplinary actions will be recorded and minuted with copies supplied to the club chairman and club manager.

 

6.                  MANAGERS

Managers will report all red/yellow card offenders at the monthly committee meetings.
